- What does Get Hours Worked do?
- Enter a start time, end time, and break length for each day, and it adds up your total hours worked for the week in both HH:MM and decimal format.
- Why does it show both HH:MM and decimal hours?
- Clock time and decimal time look similar but aren't the same - 45 minutes is 0.75 hours, not 0.45. Payroll and invoicing systems usually want the decimal figure, so both are shown side by side to avoid that mix-up.
- Does it handle overnight shifts?
- Yes. If your end time is earlier than your start time (e.g. 22:00 to 06:00), it's treated as crossing midnight and the hours are calculated correctly.
- What happens if my break is longer than my shift?
- The calculator flags it as an error instead of silently showing a negative or wrong total, so you notice the mistake right away.
- Is my data stored anywhere?
- No. All calculation happens in your browser - nothing is sent to a server or saved once you close the tab.
- Is it free to use?
- Yes, with no account required.
